1. Background of the Project:


Project Name: Sichuan University of Media and Technology Full-HD Digital Video Centralized Monitoring and Management System

Project Description:

Sichuan University of Media and Technology is located in Chengdu Pidu District. The existing campus covers an area of 150 Hectares, with a total of 3,545 videos. The monitoring center is a gigabit optical fiber network. The school monitoring center realizes the centralized monitoring and management of all video images.

2. User Needs:

1) School monitoring center to achieve centralized monitoring and management of all images

2) Monitoring center equipped with 28 monitors to meet any image decoding on the wall needs

3) Video images need to be stored for not less than 30 days

4) The system should have a good expansion ability


3. Requirements Analysis:

According to the application needs of the school, we make the following application analysis:


1) Central Management Applications


Taichen Software can interconnect a variety of distributed device information through the network, forming a huge data center management resources for the user's centralized management / control / quick search to provide efficient solutions.


2) Application of Digital Matrix



The Digital Matrix function provided by Taichen Software will connect video images of the center to group arrangement, prepare different reservation schemes and video output schemes, and output them to any TV wall for display.


3) Multiple Image Access Methods


Taichen Software supports C/S, B/S, mobile client, etc., the real-time preview, group preview, group switching and other operations and strategic response, the preview support 1-64 channels different split screen display mode.


4) Data Storage Needs


As the huge storage needs of video data, we launched a centralized storage server: Taichen centralized storage server, can access 1-256 video channels, to achieve centralized storage of video images, to ensure the user data security.


5) System has Good Scalability


Due to the distributed system architecture and modular design of Taichen Software, the platform has good compatibility and scalability to meet the growing demand of Sichuan University of Media and Technology for digital video surveillance.


4. Program Implementation


Topology:


According to the above needs analysis, the actual situation of the user, we make the following configuration:


1) One central management server: to achieve all the equipment, network connectivity, server configuration, user login authentication and management of basic information settings.

2) 7 Digital Matrix servers: One Digital Matrix server has output maximum decoding 64 channels, in this application, we have 7 decoding hosts, to achieve any video channel decoding.

3) 43 centralized storage servers: Store all 720P images for no less than 30 days.

4) 3 C/S Client Stations: to achieve video preview, playback, backup and other functions. The Client Station is dual display mode, a screen display image monitoring, the other display matrix control.
